ECCB Announces the 2012 Thomas De La Rue Currency Scholarship Recipient

Ms Rhina Meade

The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), in collaboration with the De La Rue Group PLC, the authorised printer of the EC dollar, has awarded the 2012 Thomas De La Rue Currency Scholarship to Ms Rhina Meade of Anguilla.

Ms Meade will pursue studies for a post-graduate degree in Financial and Business Economics at the University of theWest Indies, Cave Hill Campus.  MsMeade, attained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Statistics and Economics degree with first-class standing from the Middlesex University in London in 2009. She is an active member of the Anguilla National Youth Ambassador Corps and has a keen interest in issues which impact the youth of the region.

The scholarship, which is valued at £9,300 per year, is awarded every two years to a citizen of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union to pursue post-graduate studies in Economics at any campus of the University of theWest Indies. Eligible applicants must have at least an Upper Second Class Honours Degree and be committed to working in theCaribbeanafter completion of postgraduate studies.
