This year,St. Augustine’s Chorale, showing a larger caste, presented The Easter Song programme – a most imaginative performance. It was a source of much inspiration to capacity audiences on Sunday, April 8 and Sunday, April 16.

The programme, directed by Lennox Vanterpool, was narrated by Tameika Fleming and newcomer, Crispin Brooks. A much-appreciated addition was the appearance of “Jesus” before Pilate and Herod for sentencing to crucifixion, a role aptly performed by Assistant Priest, Rev. Menes Hodge.

The hour-long Easter Song programme featured such renditions as In the Name of, The Last Supper, Like a Lamb, Trials and Execution; They Didn’t Know (part one and two); He loved me with a Cross; Heaven’s Halls, The Veil was Torn, and Blessing and Honour.

The programme drew much applause from the audience.
