Three Country Golf Challenge 2012

The Anguilla Golf Association (AGA) hosted teams from St. Martin (Association de Golf – Les Tamarins) and Sint Maarten (Sint Maarten Golf Association – SMGA) in the third annual Three Country Golf Challenge on the 24th March 2012 at the Cuisinart Golf Club inAnguilla.

Twenty players each from St. Martin, Sint Maarten andAnguillagolf associations tee’d off in the much anticipated event for the coveted Inter-Island Champions Trophy.

The emaculate conditions at the Cuisinart Golf Course coupled with the beautiful weather conditions made for a day of great golf. At the completion of the day’s play, the team from French St. Martin recaptured the trophy for the third year in a row with a team score of 1,377.

Presidents from Anguilla, French St. Martin and Dutch Sint Maarten Jim Dutmers, President Anguilla Golf Association M. Olivier Lataste, President Les Tamarins Keith Graham, President SMGA

His Excellency the Governor, Mr Alistair Harrison made some brief remarks to the golfers and presented the trophy to the French team.

Anguillaand Dutch Sint Maarten teams finished with scores of 1,433 and 1,450 respectively.

 

The Anguilla Golf Association will like to thank the following persons for making this event possible; Ryan Bowey (Head Golf Professional – Cuisinart) and Matthew Closter (Teaching Golf Professional – Cuisinart) and the staff of Cuisinart Golf Club and Italia Resturant.
