Long jump event at the Ronald Webster Park

Primary School students from across Anguilla, accompanied by parents and guardians, were present in large numbers at the J W Proctors Track and Field Classic at the Ronald on Sunday Webster Park on Saturday and Sunday, February 22 and 26.

Speaking at the brief opening ceremony, President of the Anguilla Amateur Athletic Federation, Lorna Rogers, and Orris Proctor, representing his family, emphasised the importance of sports in the lives of children. They showed how they could start from humble beginnings and develop successful careers in sports, like Shara Proctor, and others, who started out at the Webster Park.
