As part of their daily drill routines, members of the Anguilla Fire and Rescue Service were busily engaged in rescue practice on Tuesday which, in real life scenarios, can be life-saving acts in the community.
The drills were undertaken on the grounds of the Fire Station at theClaytonJ.LloydInternationalAirport. The two rescue exercises demonstrated how persons sustaining injuries on a roof-topcould safely be brought down to ground level.

There was a combination of basic drills. In the mock rescues,an “injured” person was lowered from the rooftop by rope and stretcher and in the other a “victim” was brought down on the shoulders of the rescuer.
It was thought to be an interesting and effective series of rescue drills.
