ANGUILLA HAS ITS FIRST FEMALE MORTICIAN

Ms. Maxine Sasso, daughter of Ms. Myrna Sasso& Mr. Maxwell Hodge, is the proud recipient of a Science Degree in Funeral Services (with a concentration in Embalming) from American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Services,New York,USA. She isAnguilla’s first female Mortician/Funeral Director.

Ms. Sasso did her internship, as a Funeral Director, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home inSt. Thomas, USVI.  She has returned home where she is employed at Two Sons’ Funeral Home as an Embalmer. Mr. Allister Richardson, Managing Director of Two Sons, has expressed his delight having her as a new addition to his staff and is extremely impressed with her level of professionalism.

 

Maxine has followed in the footsteps of James Sasso, her uncle, who works at Turnbull’s Funeral Home inSt. Thomas, USVI; and of her brother, Lyle Sasso, and cousin, Jelani Sasso, both of whom are alumni of the sameInstituteofFuneral Servicesand are employed inNew York.

 

Ms. Sasso wishes to express gratitude to her family and close friends for their prayers and unwavering support during her studies.
