POLICE DISTRIBUTE PRIZES

Two of the three winners of the raffles held by the Royal Anguilla Police Force, as part of its 40th Anniversary, turned up for their prizes outside Police Headquarters on Wednesday.

They were the grand prize winner of the Ford Explorer Jeep 2012, Mervyn Esdaille, of Blowing Point, who won the vehicle on ticket number 4829. Mr. Esdaille, a national of St. Kitts, has been residing in Anguilla for 13 years and is employed at CEG Ltd., an offshore company at theRogers’ Complex. He said he was surprised that he had won the vehicle and would take care of it.

The second-place winner was George Hodge, ofEast End, who won US$1,200 on ticket number 1408. “If I wasn’t in, I would not have won,” he commented, adding that he had enjoyed the Police Week activities.

The winner of the third prize, Mitchell Harrigan, who won US$600 on ticket number 0959, was not present.

During the presentations, Commissioner of Police, Rudolph Proctor, said Police Week was highly successful and he thanked the public for supporting the various activities. The presentations were made by Inspector Marva Brooks, Chairperson of Police Week 2012.
