Nurse Lynette Rogers, Manager of the Rosewood Centre located in the eastern end of the island, has lauded CIBC FirstCaribbean for its Adopt-A-Cause Programme.
She made the comment on Sunday 16th October during a luncheon, at the Home hosted by CIBC FirstCaribbean, marking the third of the Bank’s 2011 Adopt-A-Cause Programme in Anguilla. Similar lunches were hosted at the Miriam Gumbs, Tender Loving Care and Just Tender Care Senior Citizens Homes.

Nurse Lynette, a retired public health nurse, expressed concern that there are no significant programmes for the elderly and was grateful for the interest that CIBC FirstCaribbean showed in this sector of the island’s population via its Adopt-A-Cause Programme.

She said institutions like Rosewood Centre, whose residents range in age from 62 to 97 years, were important because they provide the care some senior citizens need. She continued, “I thank, commend and indeed applaud CIBC FirstCaribbean for this initiative and I hope that others too will come forward”.
Acting Country Manager, Henley Johnson, said he was pleased that CIBC FirstCaribbean was continuing to contribute in a meaningful way to the wellbeing of the elderly on Anguilla. He also thanked the management and staff for turning out to support the activity and sharing some quality time with the senior citizens.
