Nurse Lynette, a retired public health nurse, expressed concern that there are no significant programmes for the elderly and was grateful for the interest that CIBC FirstCaribbean showed in this sector of the island’s population via its Adopt-A-Cause Programme.

She said institutions like Rosewood Centre, whose residents range in age from 62 to 97 years, were important because they provide the care some senior citizens need. She continued, “I thank, commend and indeed applaud CIBC FirstCaribbean for this initiative and I hope that others too will come forward”. Acting Country Manager, Henley Johnson, said he was pleased that CIBC FirstCaribbean was continuing to contribute in a meaningful way to the wellbeing of the elderly on Anguilla. He also thanked the management and staff for turning out to support the activity and sharing some quality time with the senior citizens.

Some 51 senior citizens at the four homes were treated to the sumptuous luncheon catered by E’s Oven and served by CIBC FirstCaribbean staff.
