My bodybuilding adventure started about a little over ten years ago. I admired the physiques of legendary bodybuilders such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lee Haney, to the present likes of Ronnie Coleman, Dexter Jackson, Kai Greene and Jay Cutler to name a few. I started out by going to the gym in the morning with my uncle to see what the gym and working out was all about; and from the first morning I have never stopped. In the beginning, I was very ignorant as to how to achieve the body transformation I wanted; but over the years, through my quest to educate myself more about the sport and improving my physique, I have accumulated a progressive knowledge base. This knowledge has helped me to achieve and showcase my continuous transformation significantly. For about eight of the ten years I’ve been in the sport to present. During these eight years I have been afforded the opportunity to participate in a few competitions such as: • Mr. Anguilla 2011 – 1st place • Mr. Anguilla 2010 – 2nd place • Mr. Anguilla 2009 – 3rd place • Mr. Anguilla 2008 – 1st place • Mr. Anguilla 2007 –2nd place • Mr. Anguilla 2006 –3rd place • SXM Inter-Island Championship 2011 – 1st place • SXM Inter-Island Championship 2010 – 2nd place • Caribbean and Central American Championships 2010 (Aruba) – 3rd place It was my placement at the Caribbean and Central American Championships in 2010 – a show which encompasses all the Caribbean islands and the Central Americas – which made me realize that my efforts were paying off and one of my goals was being fulfilled. That goal was to place in the top three in my category; a category that consisted of thirteen well-conditioned athletes from the Caribbean and Central America. This accomplishment has since further motivated me to set my next goal to place first in my category and try capturing overall in the men’s category. Embarking on this rigorous journey has been physically, mentally and financially challenging; but the drive to reach my full potential in this sport, and to continue inspiring others, has and is still my biggest motivation. My journey continues on September 24th 2011 in El Salvador, at another Caribbean and Central American Championship, where I will be competing again against some of the best athletes from the Caribbean and Central America. To those who have supported me from my very first show, and those who have recently started, thank you and I look forward to your continued backing. |
