| Mr. Roy Horsford |
Roy Horsford, Chief Corporate Officer, at the National Bank of Anguilla, is one of those persons who have found gardening, whether backyard, or front of the house, a most rewarding pastime. He started farming at his residence at Rock Farm on a 150 by 30-foot plot in February this year, and is pleasantlysurprised at the volume of produce he has been harvesting. The produce includes pumpkins of all sizes, and such other vegetables as cucumbers, celery, broccoli, eggplant, among several more short-term crops. Mr. Horsford enjoys what he calls hard work on good soil. “My doctor told me to exercise, but I am working the ground and getting much of that exercise,” he chuckled. What is more, while he gets some of the needed exercise in that manner, he is also reaping the agricultural benefits of his labour. There is even morein it for him. “I get the satisfaction and joy of sharing my produce with my neighbors and friends, and it is a blessing to freely give,” he added. |
