LIGHT &#038; PEACE WINS NBA PETER PERKINS RACE

The 7th Annual NBA Peter Perkins Boat Race was held on Sunday, July 4, at Road Bay. This year, the Anguilla Boat Race Committee partnered with the Anguilla Red Cross giving the organisation the opportunity to raise funds. The proceeds will go towards the “One in a Million Project” to purchase a wheel chair bus with lifting capabilities.

A total of nine A-class boats participated in the race. The results were as follows: 1st place: Light & Peace; 2nd: Sonic; 3rd: Blue Bird; 4th: DeTree; and 5th: Real Deal.
The Anguilla Boat Race Committee offers special thanks to the National Bank of Anguilla for sponsoring the trophies. The committee wishes everyone a happy and safe Summer Festival and looks forward to the continued support of Anguilla boat-racing by the general public.
