Keynote speaker, Joan Underwood, Antiguan Ambassador to South America, reminded the graduates and the attending crowd of over 300 to be cognizant of the social contract with the region as they develop economically and professionally.

“It is my desire to specialize in radiology after completing medical school, so that when I return home, I may be able to help improve the quality of health care in Anguilla.”

Five students from Anguilla have earned degrees from Midwestern since 2001 and five students were currently enrolled, making it the largest contingent ever from the island.
